Catholic Charities Month 2008
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Peoria will hold its forth annual Catholic Charities’ Month Dinner and Auction on Saturday, June 7, 2008. This year’s Light of Hope Dinner and Auction will be held at the Par-A-Dice Hotel Ballroom with a cocktail hour beginning at 6:00 p.m. and dinner at 7:00 p.m. The evening will also include a live and silent auction. Children throughout the diocese helped celebrate Catholic Charities Month by participating in the 1st Annual Drawing Contest. There were many wonderful entries which illustrated what it means to “offer hope to someone in need”. The first place drawing for K-4th Grade Division was created by Lisa Altaner, age 6 from Champaign. Terrel Bocot’s drawing was selected as the winner from the 5th-8th Grade Division. Terrel is 13 years of age and lives in Bloomington. Congratulations Lisa and Terrel!
